Whether you're by the fire, in the bathtub, or laying in bed books are the perfect thing to snuggle up with. Sometimes you might be offset by reading because you find it boring. The thing is, you just haven't found the right book. Once you find a book that catches your interest and sweeps you out of reality, then there is no turning back.
This is why I decided to start doing a weekly blog post on a featured book review. I will feature a book I believe is a must read each week. I will give you the low down on the book without giving anything away, I promise.
This is the first installment of the book review series.
CRANK BY ELLEN HOPKINS
Genre: Young Adult
Publisher: Simon & Schuster
Summary: "Crank" is the story of Kristina Snow and her alter ego Bree. The first installment of the series follows Kristina and her downward spiral of dabbling with meth after visiting her dad in Reno. Kristina goes from being the ultimate good girl to someone she doesn't even know anymore, and she likes it.
Why You Should Read: Not only is this book as addicting as the main character, but the whole series will have you hooked. I promise you won't be able to put this book down. The author writes in poetic stanzas that make it an easy read. Filled of plot twists and great character development, this is the kind of book that will have you at the edge of your seat.
